Red Door Early Learning Center, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, serves nearly 100 children in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes with “fun, creative and unique programs.” The school’s goal is to provide “a creative, mindful and nurturing environment that inspires a life-long love of learning.” Learn more at https://reddoorelc.org
ALLOY5 chose AVA® by Novalis Innovative Flooring for the Red Door Learning Center project. ALLOY5 is an interdisciplinary design firm located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania that combines architecture and graphic design expertise for its clients.
For this 10,400 sf project, ALLOY5 selected a variety of AVA® DSGN and AVA® SPRK LVT styles to create the kind learning environment that supports Red Door’s goals.
Among the spaces designed by ALLOY5 were the entrance area, classrooms and hallways, as well as an activity area.

AVA® luxury vinyl flooring is made for commercial and institutional applications with a 10-year commercial warranty and is always 100% phthalate-free, thanks to Novalis® use of bio-based plasticizers in all of its flooring. Additionally, all AVA flooring is FloorScore certified.
AVA® DSGN® planks in Australian Pecan-Summer and Carolina Oak-Gunstock looks were specified. Both feature 6” x 48” planks (for dry back) that are 2.5mm thick with a 20mil wear layer. To add bold, exciting colors, AVA® SPRK tiles were selected in Camden Sod, Dress Blues, Bawlmer Hon, Green Turtle, Steamed Crabs, Black-eyed Susan and O’Say. AVA® SPRK tiles are 18” x 18” dry back construction, 2.5mm thick and have a 20mil transparent wear layer. Both DSGN and SPRK have antibacterial protection built into the PU coating.
